I’m a big fan of self-care! I guess as parents, we can’t afford not to be. In order for us to care for our children in a conscious, connected and compassionate way, we need to care for ourselves in that way first.
I’ve found that yoga really helps me to let go of my “to do list” for a little while, and to turn my attention to really connecting with my body and my self. Afterwards, I feel clearer, lighter, more relaxed and more focussed. Even just 10 minutes a day makes the world of difference to the way I go about my day.
I have no affiliation with it, but I love doyouyoga.combecause it has a whole bunch of free 10-20 minute yoga routines that help me to do my yoga! It takes away the sense of needing to know what to do and make it up myself. I just tune into my body, decide what sort of routine I’m needing in that moment and choose from the options available. It makes it so doable!
